Welcome to Maja Kjær Studio! Here you will find calm and dreamy watercolour art prints for babies, kids and grown-ups too.

All art prints are professional reproductions of original watercolour illustrations by Danish artist Maja Kjær. Mother of three and a self-taught watercolour artist, relocated from Denmark to Southern Portugal, in a pursuit of a slower pace of life.

With a background in science, the road to creating art has not been straightforward. But in the love and chaos that is motherhood, a creative spark was reignited. Read about how it all started.

More than a poster

From idea and sketch to the final brushstrokes, every design is created by hand by artist Maja Kjær.

Each watercolour painting is then reproduced as a giclée print, which is a printing technique that use pigment-based inks that are fade-resistant, delivering outstanding colour accuracy and delicate detail. Prints are made on acid-free fine-art paper with a smooth surface and subtle grain reminiscent of the original watercolour paper, resulting in long-lasting, gallery-quality artwork.
