This watercolour name poster was originally painted for one of my little nieces - a wild child who loves nature and animals. Inspired by her spirit, the design features a collection of woodland creatures and wildflowers, making it the perfect personalised wall art for any nature-loving child.
Her zodiac sign, Virgo, is symbolised by the little girl in the illustration. As Virgo is an earth sign, it adds a meaningful connection to the woodland theme. The Virgo sign (23 August – 22 September) symbolises kindness, curiosity, and a love for nature, qualities beautifully reflected in this gentle design. Whether you’re celebrating a Virgo baby’s birth or simply love the charm of forest animals, this artwork makes a timeless and meaningful addition to your nursery decor.
The illustration includes a squirrel, deer fawn, red robin, butterfly, ladybird, and bumblebee among blue morning glories and purple asters. Each element is hand-painted in delicate watercolours to create a calm, nature-inspired atmosphere.
Soft botanical tones and forest friends create a calm, nature-inspired look ideal for nurseries or children’s rooms. A perfect match for parents who love Scandinavian-style decor or gentle woodland themes.
From watercolour to finished print
Each illustration begins by hand with pencil, brush and watercolour. The original painting is then carefully digitised and prepared for print, preserving the delicate textures, brushstrokes and unique character of the original watercolour.
