Hi, I'm Maja Kjær, a Danish watercolor artist based in the sunny Algarve, Portugal.

I've always loved drawing and creating, but abandoned art for nearly 20 years to pursue a scientific career. Becoming a mother, however, made me reevaluate many things in my life, an ultimately led me to reconnect with my creativity.

I'm very inspired by nature and the feminine, and mostly paints portraits of women and often in combination with flowers.
