I love flowers, and the iris is one of my favourites. It reminds me of my childhood garden and of my grandfather, as it was his favourite flower. So when I was asked to paint a personalised name poster with irises as a gift for a baby girl, I didn’t hesitate to say yes.
The iris flower is a vibrant, elegant bloom with delicate petals and a rich colour palette, ranging from soft purples and blues to yellows and whites. Its graceful shape and playful colours make it a beautiful subject for nursery wall art or a child’s bedroom.
This custom name print featuring watercolour irises brings a sense of nature, charm, and warmth to your space. Whether you’re decorating a baby girl’s nursery or looking for a heartfelt christening or birthday gift, the iris adds a timeless and meaningful touch to a truly one-of-a-kind piece.
From watercolour to finished print
Each illustration begins by hand with pencil, brush and watercolour. The original painting is then carefully digitised and prepared for print, preserving the delicate textures, brushstrokes and unique character of the original watercolour.
